Kemaliye Dark Canyon Run

Within the unique Eğin Taş Yol tunnels, the carved rock path follows the edge of the cliffs alongside the Euphrates River. It is a taste of the Taş Yolu Half Marathon. Headlamps may be needed during the day. The tunnels in this section are shorter, with a less claustrophobic feel. The course is an out-and-back route. Cell phone reception is lost shortly after entering the tunnels.

The 3.5 km between Kemaliye and Sandık village intersection is paved and asphalt. The remaining section has a dirt and stone surface. It can be rough at times and may be covered with puddles depending on the weather.

There is a water station before the turn on the out-and-back course. There are fountains on the side of the road at the last 1000, 500 and 300 meters. Carrying a water bottle is recommended.

Only a general classification of male and female is made. No age classification is made.
